At some point when I'm back in the UK, I want to go through all of the (decently translated, I'm not a masochist) early medieval Insular law texts and gather together what they say about women. I remember bits and pieces: ( trigger warning for brief mention of rape and medieval legal treatment of it and further discussion of victim-blaming in the second paragraph )

For some reason, I ended up getting stuck in a timewarp of reading my old, old entries on LJ last night, and I found this piece of translation which I had done and posted some of, aeons ago, and it's very lovely so I'm going to post it again.
